Time Appointments Ltd in Ipswich is recruiting a Sales Estimator to join its team. The role blends technical estimating with supplier liaison, customer relationship management and business development throughout the commercial process from reviewing project requirements to delivering costings.

You will interpret project drawings, prepare quotations, obtain pricing from suppliers and build relationships with clients and supply chain partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, technical sales, commercial support or a related B2B environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation, or willingness to develop this skill.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills with confidence dealing with customers and suppliers.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and manage quotations, ensuring costs, specifications and commercial requirements are accurately assessed.
• Review technical documentation and project drawings to establish requirements and develop cost proposals.
• Obtain and evaluate pricing information from established and prospective suppliers.
• Develop an understanding of the company’s technical offering and production processes.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries, providing clear information and following up on opportunities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with existing customers, prospective clients and supply chain partners.
• Identify potential projects and new commercial opportunities through research and proactive business development.
• Support purchasing and procurement activities, helping to obtain competitive pricing and maintain supplier relationships.
