EA Associates in Ipswich is seeking a Trainee Estimator or Junior Estimator to join its growing commercial team. The role offers structured training, mentoring from experienced estimators, and gradual responsibility through the tendering process.

Candidates with strong numerical skills and an interest in construction are welcomed, including school leavers or graduates; no essential qualification required, but a construction-related qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Assist with measurements and quantity take-offs.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the preparation of estimates and tender submissions.
• Compare quotations and help identify the best options.
• Maintain pricing information and project records.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist with project handovers following successful tenders.
