Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor for primarily office-based work on refurbishment and lifecycle replacement projects across the UK, with project values from £50k to £10m. You will manage valuations, payments, variations and final accounts while collaborating with Project Managers and Site Teams.

Essential experience includes NEC/JCT contracts, strong Excel skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, refurbishment or facilities management.
• Experience administering NEC, JCT or equivalent contracts.
• Proven ability to manage valuations, applications for payment, variations and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of allocated projects from start to final account.
• Ensure contractual obligations are understood and followed.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate Applications for Payment timely.
• Assess subcontractor valuations, quotations and variations.
• Produce pricing submissions and monitor costs, forecasts and profitability.
• Support procurement and administer subcontractor accounts.
