Job summary

Gibson Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Glasgow. Salary £45,000-£55,000 DOE. You will report to the Commercial Director and manage contractual and commercial matters, ensuring accurate cost control and profitability on projects.

Responsibilities include analysing drawings, preparing enquiries, negotiating with suppliers, and providing monthly reports. The successful candidate will have a Degree in Quantity Surveying and experience with Building

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying required.
• Experience with a Building Contractor preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyse drawings and specifications to identify labour, materials and subcontracts.
• Prepare enquiry documents and obtain quotations including final orders.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to keep budgets on track.
• Collate site surveys information and maintain cost data.
• Liaise with clients to agree rates, variations and cost analysis.
• Measure works per contract schedule of rates.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts within timescales.
• Provide robust monthly cost reports to management and clients.
• Attend Site Progress Meetings and support the Commercial Director.
