Job summary

Gibson Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor to manage project costs, contractual obligations, and change processes. The role includes budgets, valuations, and cost forecasting to support value engineering.

The successful candidate will procure supply chain partners, certify payments, prepare account submissions, and maintain robust commercial documentation in line with contract requirements. Travel to site is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Strong cost management and commercial awareness.
• Knowledge of JCT/NEC forms of contract.
• Excellent numerical, IT and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to site as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse budgets and cost forecasts.
• Procure supply chain and prepare order documentation.
• Assess and certify Sub-Contractor interim payments.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts submissions.
• Manage variation accounts and cost reporting.
• Assist with Extension of Time and Loss & Expense submissions.
