Job summary

LegalVision, a commercial law firm, seeks an experienced Practice Leader in Manchester to own a diverse client portfolio and advise on complex commercial matters while mentoring junior lawyers. This role offers autonomy, direct client relationships, and the opportunity to shape a growing practice within a supportive team.

You will demonstrate strong technical ability across commercial matters, effective project management, and client service.

Qualifications

• 6+ years PQE in assisting UK business clients with commercial matters.
• Practical, commercially-focused advice balancing legal risk and business objectives.
• Excellent communication skills enabling clear explanations to clients.
• Strong project management and ability to handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-focused with strong relationship-building and service delivery.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Build and own client relationships as the primary adviser for your clients.
• Advise across varied industries and practice areas including drafting and negotiating IT & commercial contracts; advise on IP, licensing and partnerships; guide regulatory, privacy and consumer matters.
• Mentor and train junior lawyers and graduates to develop technical skills and commercial judgement.
• Contribute to firm growth through client articles, webinars and internal training.
