Job summary

Sureserve Compliance South is seeking a Level 2 plumber to join its social housing maintenance team. You will risk assess works, identify parts, log materials, and coordinate with procurement to inform residents of timings.

You will manage van stock, stay flexible for out-of-hours work, and deliver high levels of customer service to a diverse resident base. A full UK driving licence (6 points or less) and a valid plumbing qualification are required; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence (6 points or less).
• Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential.
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service.
• The ability to work with a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Risk assess work/environments before starting, ensuring compliance with HSE and GSIUR 1998.
• Identify materials and parts, and log work and materials on PDA/IT system.
• Coordinate with procurement/admin and inform residents of timelines for completion.
• Manage and control allocated van stock and keep levels as needed.
• Be flexible for work outside normal hours based on business needs.
• Deliver high levels of customer service in daily tasks.
• Report vulnerabilities or concerns via internal system to management.

Role

• To risk assess work/working environments before starting any works to avoid damages or injuries, and undertake all work in accordance with Health & Safety and The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations (GSIUR) 1998
• To identify materials and parts required to carry out repairs to the set company standard. To record accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used capturing this on the company's PDA / I.T system
• There any further works are required, to liaise with procurement & admin teams then inform residents of timescale for completion of the work being undertaken
• To manage, control and be responsible for allocated van stock ensuring levels are kept as necessary
• Be prepared to work flexible with the possibility of work outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business
• Carryout your daily tasks in a helpful and professional approach prioritising customer service
• To report any vulnerabilities or concerns to management via our internal system so it can be addressed and reported back to the appropriate client
• To keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy at all times, always wear correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations

The successful candidate will have

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence (6 points or less)
• Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service
• The ability to work with a diverse customer base
