Following the continued growth and success of our Southampton office, we're delighted to bring to market a number of positions for P&C underwriters at this location, working across either existing or new business. As a P&C Underwriter, you’ll play a vital role in driving trading results. You’ll be responsible for effectively underwriting large commercial risks within your authority, focusing on mid-market cases, while building and nurturing strong broker relationships that align with our branch objectives. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work three days a week away from home. Away from home means attending the Southampton office, visiting clients or attending industry events. There’ll be an initial training period where you may be required to attend the Reading office on a regular basis.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
