Our team in Manchester is looking for a Junior Fleet Underwriter to join their team. If you’re currently working in the Financial Services industry or as an Assistant Underwriter and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, this could be the next role for you!

Key responsibilities
  • Underwrite Mid-Market Fleet business within the Manchester market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and brokers.
  • Establish yourself as a trading expert with our intermediary partners.
  • Participate in meetings with brokers and end customers to showcase AXA’s strengths.
  • Assist colleagues in building strong trading relationships with intermediaries to ensure a consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Work arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least three days a week (60%) away from home. Away from home means attending the Manchester office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills & experience
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Background of working in the Financial Services industry.
  • Confident decision-maker with pragmatic approach and good numerical reasoning skills.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
  • CII qualifications are desirable but not essential.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
