Universal Business Team in Worthing is seeking a Commercial Manager to turn data and strategy into profitable deals. You will own pricing, margin models, tender submissions and commercial terms, shaping proposals and driving successful contracts.

Work with senior stakeholders to ensure opportunities are evaluated, competitively positioned and structured for growth. Strong Excel and B2B pricing experience are essential, with a collaborative, proactive approach to negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience in pricing, commercial analysis or bid management within a B2B environment.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Clear, persuasive written communication and pricing rationale.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Shape pricing strategy: Develop pricing structures balancing competitiveness, profitability and customer requirements.
• Own the numbers: Build detailed margin models, costings, forecasts and stock commitments.
• Lead tender excellence: Structure and coordinate compelling tender responses with relevant information and insights.
• Create persuasive proposals and executive summaries communicating value and strengthening the case for winning.
• Protect commercial value: Review contract terms and support negotiations to ensure robustness before signature.
• Drive collaboration: Work with business development, supply chain and project teams to turn opportunities into contracts.
• Support innovation: Contribute to customer-led initiatives from design through production.
• Enable growth: Partner with the wider team to strengthen the pipeline and value of new opportunities.
