Job summary

Mace seeks a Commercial Manager for the SZC procurement team. You will support pre-award activities, assess contract scope and value, and help define commercial requirements across the project.

You will lead ITT preparation, evaluation and negotiation, manage key supplier relationships, and report on progress while ensuring governance and compliance throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Progressing to full membership of the RICS/CICES/IOB is preferable.
• Educated to relevant degree level is preferable.
• Demonstrate a track record administering successful contracts.
• Effective commercial/contract management skills are essential.
• Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills.
• Familiar with NEC and FIDIC forms of contract.
• Knowledge of UK law and nuclear regulatory framework.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement and Senior Commercial Manager during contract creation (pre-award) and define commercial requirements.
• Participate in commercial review of technical and commercial requirements; align scope and terms.
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate ITT packages and ensure compliance.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across the project.
• Oversee supplier/contractor relationships and engagement.
• Implement progress reporting and contract-specific dashboards.
• Maintain procurement files and records.
• Interface with Legal on contract issues and NDAs.
• Ensure collaborative working strategy in procurement.
• Develop ITT/RFQ packages including technical, commercial, and legal docs.
• Capture lessons learnt from HPC for SZC procurement strategy.
• Support governance approvals to enable timely contract awards.
