Job summary

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Senior commercial support is required to back category management activities and major procurements within the acquisition strategy.

You’ll be responsible for commercial modelling, benchmarking and value-for-money assessments, and for developing category management plans and sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, procurement or category management roles.
• Experience in construction/engineering professional services categories.
• Strong modelling, should-cost analysis and benchmarking capability.
• Experience developing commercial evaluation methodologies and pricing models.
• Understanding of contracting approaches and incentive mechanisms.
• Experience supporting procurements and supplier negotiations.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of public procurement regulations and governance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake should-cost modelling, benchmarking and value-for-money assessments.
• Support development and delivery of category management plans and sourcing strategies.
• Develop commercial models, incentive mechanisms and recommendations.
• Develop commercial evaluation models, pricing schedules and criteria.
• Support supplier engagement, negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Identify commercial risks and support mitigation planning.
• Provide commercial assurance across procurement activities and governance submissions.
• Support development of commercial strategies, contract models and approaches.
• Quantify benefits, savings opportunities and value realisation outcomes.
• Produce commercial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
