Overview

This Commercial Manager opportunity has arisen as a result of a contract award onto an R&M water utilities framework in South Wales leading the delivery of key reinstatement activities for a tier 1 contracting partnership.

Responsibilities

Your Commercial Manager role will involve leading on contract procurement, negotiation and monitoring. Leading the Commercial Team as well as subcontractor, budget and risk management in line with NEC4.

Qualifications and experience

Prior experience ideally within a comparable R&M framework environment with annual spend circa 40 to 50M, within a utilities (ideally clean water) or highways sector with involvement and understanding of planning, client and customer management, commercial, health & safety and street work applications. Relevant qualifications include;

• RICS Qualification: Desirable but not essential.
• NEC4 Contract Experience: Essential, particularly in utilities.
• Framework Contract Expertise: Experience with large-scale framework contracts in the utilities sector.

Team and development

Encouraging team work, productivity and motivational leadership qualities you will be supported by an experienced Commercial Director and have the opportunity to attend executive meetings providing input and feedback into shaping commercial strategy on this framework.

This role could also suit a Managing Quantity Surveyor looking to take next career move or a Commercial Manager with a mix of client and contractor experience. Basic salary up to 90,000 p/a plus package.
