Job summary

BTTC is seeking a Commercial Manager to drive strategic commercial activities across major rail infrastructure projects. You will lead pre- and post-contract duties, collaborate with clients and contractors, and ensure governance and reporting excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline (QS, civil engineering).
• MRICS or MCICES membership or working towards accreditation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree: Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Membership: MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or MCICES (Member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors), or actively working towards accreditation.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and NEC contract frameworks.
• Leadership: Proven line management, including team development and performance management.
• Coaching & Development: Demonstrated ability and desire to coach, mentor, and upskill team members.
• Project Delivery: Experience managing complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
