Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager with knowledge of civils and cabling activities on telecom infrastructure maintenance contracts to join our Circet UK team!

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading, assisting, and developing the commercial team. You will implement commercial reporting systems and procedures to maximize benefits of contracts, focusing on risk mitigation, pricing variations (EWN/CE Processes), supporting pre-tenders, detailed cost management, and daily contract management.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing commercial functions across telecom works.
2. Collaborating with project delivery teams on work packages and change management.
3. Liaising with Project and Contracts Managers for information gathering.
4. Managing work package costs, including forecasting and budgets.
5. Preparing commercial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
6. Establishing interfaces with key stakeholders.
7. Controlling costs of labor, materials, plant, and subcontractors.
8. Estimating changes and variations.
9. Forecasting costs and measuring work package expenses.
10. Supporting commercial strategies implementation.
11. Conducting meetings with clients and senior management to align cost projections.
12. Working proactively with tender teams to secure new projects.
13. Developing supplier engagement strategies for the UK.

Skills & Experience required:

• Degree qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing complex bids.
• Understanding of pricing, costs, and profit margins.
• Keen knowledge of profit & loss management.
• Experience in dispute resolution.
• Knowledge of commercial construction law.
• Experience with NEC, JCT, ICE, or bespoke contracts.
• Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
