Job Title: Contract Commercial Manager

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Contract Commercial Manager to join the team supporting one of the largest and highest profile accounts in our UK business. The role will be hybrid, combining home and office-based work, primarily from our Leeds Gateway office, with some travel around the UK.

As a Contract Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing commercial support to delivery operations, focusing on risk minimization and contributing to CBRE's profitable growth through expert commercial knowledge and negotiation techniques.
  2. Line management of a Change Co-Ordinator.
  3. Owning the commercial relationship with the customer, collaborating with internal teams in operations, procurement, and finance.
  4. Leading the implementation of robust commercial processes to ensure contractual compliance and policy adherence.
  5. Managing contract changes promptly and efficiently.
  6. Negotiating future contract renewals/extensions.
  7. Delivering commercial awareness training to operational teams.
  8. Providing commercial guidance to support the strategic development of the company.

The role also involves:

  1. Acting as a technical specialist on commercial issues such as contract terms, commercial modeling, change management, and supplier terms.
  2. Educating operational teams on commercial matters.
  3. Building and maintaining a commercial relationship with the customer, including SLA management and dispute resolution.
  4. Serving as a trusted advisor between operational and support teams.
  5. Ensuring project tenders are commercially sound and aligned with governance.
  6. Supporting procurement negotiations and supplier contract agreements.
  7. Maintaining profit margins through proper contractual application.
  8. Developing key customer contacts to foster long-term relationships.
  9. Supporting project development and resolving disputes to prevent escalation.
  10. Assisting in supplier management to meet strategic needs and promote preferred suppliers.

The person suitable for this role should possess:

  1. Expert negotiating skills with confidence in managing conflicts.
  2. Strong presentation skills and ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers.
  3. Influential and adaptable personality, capable of winning over stakeholders.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and prioritization skills under high workload.
  5. Decisiveness, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  6. Experience managing high volumes of contract changes is preferable.
  7. Ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
  8. Approximately 5 years of industry experience in a related field.
