Marks Sattin (UK) Ltd is recruiting for a part-qualified Commercial Management Accountant to join a growing, commercially focused business in the UK. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and meaningful financial insight to support performance and decision-making.

The successful candidate will be ACCA/CIMA/ACA studier with strong management accounting experience, Excel skills and a proactive, commercially minded approach. Salary is £35,000 - £50,000 (DOE) plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Produce regular management reports with commentary on performance.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
• Analyze revenue, costs, margins and key business drivers.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities and translate into actionable insights.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
• Support the development of reporting, processes and controls.
• Involvement in ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Commercial Management Accountant to join a growing and commercially focused business.

This is an excellent role for an ambitious ACCA / CIMA / ACA studier looking to develop their commercial finance experience, working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key role in providing meaningful financial insight to support business performance and decision-making.

The role

Reporting into the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, you will take ownership of a broad range of management accounting and commercial finance responsibilities, including:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Producing regular management reporting and providing commentary on performance
• Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business
• Analysing revenue, costs, margins and key business drivers
• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and translating these into actionable insight
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
• Supporting the continued development of reporting, processes and controls
• Involvement in ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects

The ideal candidate

You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with strong management accounting experience and a genuine interest in developing within commercial finance.

You will ideally have:

• Experience producing or assisting with management accounts
• Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence
