Oculus Legal Group in Shrewsbury is seeking a Newly Qualified to 2PQE Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join the firm's growing team. The role offers exposure across a broad range of commercial disputes, with support from experienced lawyers and a clear path for progression.

Salary is £40,000–£45,000 DOE, with a permanent, full-time contract and a supportive working environment that encourages client-focused advisory work and dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Newly Qualified - 2 PQE with interest in Commercial Litigation.
• Strong academic and legal credentials.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial Litigation matters.
• Assist with complex and high-value disputes.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, statements and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide commercially focused advice.
• Support clients throughout the litigation process.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to case strategy.
• Collaborate with senior team members on complex matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development and networking initiatives.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified - 2 PQE Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Shrewsbury.

This is an exciting opportunity for an NQ- 2PQE Solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative Commercial Litigation team, working alongside experienced lawyers on a varied and interesting caseload.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial litigation matters, gaining exposure to a variety of disputes and supporting clients throughout the litigation process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of commercial Litigation matters
• Assisting with complex and high-value disputes
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, statements and other legal documentation
• Conducting legal research and providing clear, commercially focused advice
• Supporting clients throughout the litigation process
• Attending client meetings and contributing to case strategy
• Working closely with senior members of the team on more complex matters
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting the wider team with business development and networking activities

About You

The ideal candidate will be a Newly Qualified Solicitor- 2 PQE with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Commercial Litigation.

You will ideally have:

• Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales
• Completed a training contract with exposure to Commercial Litigation, Dispute Resolution or a related area
• Strong academic and legal credentials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• A commercial and client-focused approach
• The ambition to develop within a growing litigation practice
• The ability to work collaboratively while taking responsibility for your own matters
