Job summary

Circet UK is seeking a seasoned Head of Commercial to lead the Commercial function within the Wireless division at Hartlebury. The role focuses on protecting and improving contract profitability through governance, margin optimisation and proactive client engagement.

The post provides strategic leadership to Commercial and Quantity Surveying teams, ensuring robust controls and collaboration with Operations and Finance to maximise performance and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in improving contract profitability and delivering margin growth.
• Excellent commercial and financial acumen with ability to identify risks and opportunities affecting performance.
• Deep understanding of contract management, governance and revenue recovery.
• Proven experience in client-facing commercial management, holding clients to account for obligations and recoveries.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes across multiple contracts.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Experience within telecoms, construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Degree or professional qualification in a commercial, financial or quantity surveying discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Commercial and Quantity Surveying teams.
• Drive margin improvement and profitability across contracts and programmes.
• Ensure robust commercial governance, contract compliance and risk management.
• Maximise recovery of contractual entitlements, variations and additional revenues.
• Own accuracy of WIP reporting and commercial forecasting.
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance to improve financial performance and cash generation.
• Provide commercial insight and strategic guidance to support business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes, systems and reporting.
• Lead client-facing commercial discussions and hold clients to account for contractual obligations.
