Job summary

EDF Energy's power solutions arm is seeking a Commercial Lead to drive the commercial strategy for a large-scale solar and battery storage project in the UK. You will work with the Project Director and Technical Lead to shape strategy, oversee commercial activities and ensure strong project controls.

This hybrid role offers time at our London office, working from home and occasional site visits, with the chance to engage with investors and governance boards to support delivery of the net zero

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a senior commercial role within infrastructure or capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost, schedule, risk and governance frameworks within large-scale project environments.
• Experience preparing reports, presentations and governance materials for senior stakeholders, boards or investors.
• Extensive contract management experience with a demonstrable track record of successful delivery.
• Experience managing and resolving commercial claims and variations.
• Knowledge of project insurance and financial model.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial and contract management activities, ensuring governance and management of claims and variations.
• Drive financial performance through understanding of the investment case and proactive risk management.
• Oversee the full project controls function: planning, scheduling, cost control, governance documents.
• Coordinate project controls resources and maintain the integrated baseline, ensuring reporting quality.
• Prepare materials for Board and governance forums to support informed decisions.
• Interface with PMO, Procurement, and Finance to ensure alignment of standards and controls.
• Partner with senior project leaders to align technical and commercial priorities.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and provide leadership during challenging situations.
