Job summary

Voltis Renewables seeks an ambitious Development Lead to drive commercial value across UK solar, wind and storage projects. You will own project economics, lead planning and consenting, and shape the route to market from concept to investment case.

Based in Hoxton, London, you will work with a small, fast-moving team to accelerate growth and deliver high-impact infrastructure in the energy transition.

Qualifications

• Experience in renewable energy, energy infrastructure or major infrastructure development.
• Planning and consenting of complex projects (TCPA, DCO/NSIP or Section 36).
• Land acquisition and property rights.
• Electricity grid connections and connections policy.
• Commercial evaluation and financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Commercial ownership of the project.
• Set the commercial strategy for each project you lead, including target configuration, technology and route to market.
• Lead the consenting strategy and engage with the process to obtain a useable consent.
• Own the connection strategy, assess offers and challenging timescales with networks.
• Ensure rights for development, construction, operation, access and connection (options, leases, easements, wayleaves).
• Collaborate with engineers on layout, technology selection and sizing to maximise value.
• Prepare business cases for investment committees, financing, partnerships or sale.
