Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive financial and contractual performance on Building Services projects centred around Heathrow. You will mentor teams, shape commercial strategy, and ensure robust governance across budgets, forecasts and contractual frameworks.

The role requires delivering proactive commercial leadership, collaborating with project directors and stakeholders to optimise value, mitigate risk and secure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commercial management, cost control, and financial planning within construction or building services environments.
• Experience with NEC/JCT contracts, change control, variations and claims management.
• Ability to lead commercial activities independently within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of cost management systems and ERP tools to control budgets and forecasts.
• Proven track record in driving commercial performance across complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of Building Services projects and frameworks at Heathrow and surrounding programs.
• Influence decisions to optimise commercial outcomes, balancing risk and opportunity.
• Provide early commercial input into bids, pricing strategies, and delivery models.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Project Directors and senior leadership on commercial matters.
• Oversee contract administration, negotiations, variations and change control processes.
• Lead financial monitoring, reporting, and risk/opportunity management across projects.
