Job summary

Sheen Engineering Consultants Ltd is seeking a Commercial Manager to support directors with the commercial and business development aspects of the consultancy. You will help develop the client base, identify opportunities, prepare bids, and support pricing and contracts.

The role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to work with the technical team to meet client requirements. Immediate start and full-time employment are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, International Business, Business Administration, Marketing or related subject.
• Good understanding of commercial and business management principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Good negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and supporting the company's commercial strategy.
• Identifying new business opportunities in engineering and construction.
• Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Preparing quotations, proposals and tender documents.
• Supporting directors with pricing and commercial decisions.
• Reviewing client requirements and developing suitable proposals.
• Monitoring commercial opportunities and following up potential projects.
• Researching market trends and competitor activity.
• Identifying opportunities to expand services and client base.
• Managing commercial contracts and client agreements.
• Monitoring progress and preparing reports for the directors.
• Collaborating with the technical team to ensure proposals meet client requirements.
• Assisting with business planning and company growth.
• Maintaining accurate records of clients, enquiries, quotations and opportunities.
