Job summary

Coventry-based role for a Commercial Gas Engineer within the Facilities Management team of Coventry City Council. You will install, maintain and repair commercial gas systems across various properties, ensuring safe operation and compliance with gas safety regulations.

Responsibilities include PPM, fault diagnosis, testing and commissioning, with participation in an out-of-hours rota and mentoring of apprentices. DBS enhanced, UK driving license, and relevant accreditations are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Commercial Gas Qualifications (essential).
• Current and valid Gas Safe Registration.
• Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade discipline.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair commercial gas systems and equipment.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs.
• Test, commission and evaluate systems.
• Mentor apprentices and trainees as needed.
