Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an Experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a maintenance team in Coventry. You will carry out installation, maintenance and reactive repairs across commercial properties, with a focus on gas safety and compliance.

Role requires Level 3 qualification, 18th Edition, PASMA/IPAF where possible, DBS check, and a valid UK driving licence. Immediate start and ongoing work anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation and maintenance across heating, ventilation, HVAC, commercial appliances and related systems.
• Install, modify and maintain gas pipework and fittings.
• Conduct combustion system evaluations to ensure safety and compliance.
• Attend reactive repair tasks and complete works within required timescales.
• Complete installation, maintenance and remedial works to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with customers and liaise with clients to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction.
• Complete all relevant paperwork, documentation and certification accurately.

Experienced and professional Commercial Gas Engineer required to work with a leading and highly reputable organisation.

My client requires an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their maintenance team, carrying out installation, maintenance and reactive repair works across commercial properties in Coventry.

Location: Coventry

Pay: £35.00 per hour (Umbrella or CIS)

Hours: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Commercial Gas Engineer

Carry out installation and maintenance works across heating, ventilation, HVAC, commercial appliances and heat pump systems.

Install, modify and maintain associated pipework, components and fittings.

Conduct combustion system evaluations to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and operational standards.

Monitor and evaluate combustion processes, identifying operational issues and recommending appropriate corrective measures.

Ensure all gas works comply with relevant health and safety requirements, industry regulations, British Standards and Approved Codes of Practice.

Attend reactive repair tasks allocated by planners and complete works within the required timeframes.

Carry out fault diagnosis and complete repairs within the relevant trade area.

Complete installation, maintenance and remedial works to a high standard.

Communicate effectively with customers to establish expectations and ensure works meet their requirements.

Liaise with clients throughout works to ensure issues are resolved and customer satisfaction is maintained.

Complete all relevant paperwork, documentation and certification accurately.
