Job summary

Staffline is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to work on a leading supermarket contract in Southwest London/Heathrow. The role includes on-call standby and a salary of £46,994 plus LWA, with a 42.5-hour week and comprehensive benefits.

You will service HVAC assets, manage PPM schedules, respond to helpdesk calls, and maintain stringent health and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Must hold recognised Commercial Gas qualifications; at least 4 of the listed certificates.
• F Gas (2079) qualified.
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable).
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (incl. G3 Unvented HWS) essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PPM) to schedule and complete all required paperwork.
• Respond to service calls/alarm requests from Helpdesk; assess, repair, and update job status within agreed timescales.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, single split AC, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise Line Manager with replacement recommendations.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Commercial Gas Engineer

£46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4) + 11% - 15% LWA

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities - Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications - you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1

• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
