Job summary
Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer for Peterborough and surrounding areas. You will service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and heating systems across client sites, travelling to sites within about 90 minutes of Peterborough.
The role offers a basic salary of £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, plus a company vehicle. Travel pay applies after 30 minutes (door to door from February 2027).
Qualifications
- Experience servicing and repairing commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown works.
- Full UK Driving Licence required; based within commutable distance of Peterborough.
Responsibilities

Commercial Gas Engineer required for our client, an established engineering and facilities management company providing mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance services across the industrial and commercial sectors. The company supports a diverse range of clients, including manufacturing, engineering, education, retail and logistics businesses.
The Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for carrying out servicing, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and breakdown repairs on commercial gas appliances and heating systems across a variety of client sites. The role will involve travelling to commercial and industrial premises within approximately a 90min radius of Peterborough.
Commercial Gas Engineer required covering Peterborough and the surrounding areas, carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and breakdown repairs on commercial heating and gas systems across industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and educational sites.
- Previous experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas appliances and heating systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown works
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Based within commutable distance of Peterborough
- Basic Salary - £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
