Job summary

Bailey & Bowes Ltd in the UK, a long‑established specialist in commercial catering, HVAC and ventilation, serves pubs, restaurants, hotels and education facilities with reactive callouts and planned maintenance.

We seek a Commercial Gas Engineer to service, maintain and repair commercial gas systems, fault-find on boilers and plant, perform PPMs and gas safety checks, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with gas regulations; full UK driving licence required; van, tools, uniform and

Qualifications

• Commercial gas qualifications (CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, CONCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, TPCP1).
• Oftec, LPG, FGAS or COMCAT qualifications advantageous.
• Full valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of commercial gas systems.
• Fault finding and reactive breakdowns on boilers and plant equipment.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial sites.
• Testing, commissioning and gas safety checks.
• Working on pumps, valves, controls and associated pipework.
• Completing service reports and compliance paperwork.
• Ensuring compliance with gas regulations and health & safety standards.
• Liaising with clients and identifying remedial works.

Package:

• Basic Salary: £43,000 - 45,000
• 40hr working week
• Door to door pay
• On call rota 1 in 5
• Overtime rates paid at time ½ and double time on weekends
