Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to cover Peterborough and surrounding areas, performing servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown repairs on commercial gas systems across industrial and commercial sites.

The role involves travel within around a 90-minute radius of Peterborough; requires valid ACS commercial gas qualifications and a full UK driving licence, with strong diagnostic skills to service a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial gas qualifications, including ACS commercial gas tickets
• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas appliances and heating systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown works
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Based within commutable distance of Peterborough

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown repairs on commercial gas systems across client sites
• Travel to commercial and industrial premises within a ~90 minute radius of Peterborough
• Support ongoing maintenance programmes and respond to reactive breakdowns as required

Commercial Gas Engineer required for our client, an established engineering and facilities management company providing mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance services across the industrial and commercial sectors. The company supports a diverse range of clients, including manufacturing, engineering, education, retail and logistics businesses.

The Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for carrying out servicing, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and breakdown repairs on commercial gas appliances and heating systems across a variety of client sites. The role will involve travelling to commercial and industrial premises within approximately a 90min radius of Peterborough.

Commercial Gas Engineer Position Remuneration

• Basic Salary - £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
• Company vehicle
• Travel paid after 30mins, this is changing to door to door travel pay from February 2027
