Job summary

Liberty Gas Group is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to cover the North West, focusing on local, non-traveling work across commercial sites. You will service, maintain and repair gas and solid fuel heating systems in line with gas safety regs, with no nationwide travel.

The role offers uncapped earnings up to £60,000 with on-target earnings, plus a company van, fuel card, 23 days’ holiday, health and wellbeing benefits, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• ACS qualifications required (CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT).
• Additional certifications (COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CDGA1, CIGA1) are advantageous.
• Full UK driving license essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and breakdown of commercial gas and solid fuel heating systems in NW sites.
• Work to health & safety guidelines, gas safety regs and specifications.
• Occasional install work and regular PPM activity.
• Participate in out-of-hours work with call-out rate of 1 in 5.
• Provide excellent customer service and report works via PDA.

Your Role as a Commercial Gas Engineer:

• Service, maintenance and breakdown of commercial gas and solid fuel heating systems, working to health & safety guidelines, safe working practices, operational procedures, gas safety regulations and specifications


• No nationwide travel or staying away from home.


• Complete Install work occasionally


• Undertake PPM activity


• Participate in out-of-hours work, including overtime and call-outs (Call out rate of 1 in 5)


• Provide excellent customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and safety


• Report works using your PDA


• Report accidents, near-miss events, and potential hazards


• Handle any additional maintenance tasks within your remit

What We Need from You.

• A full UK driving license


• Flexibility and a positive attitude towards varied work and schedules


• A solid understanding of gas legislation and regulations


• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and working to best standards


• Ability to manage your time and workload independently


• Recognised formal qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) (desirable)


• Additional qualifications (LPG, Unvented) are desirable
