Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer for our Northwest client. The role covers Preston, Lancaster, Blackpool, Wigan, and Blackburn with a strong benefits package and earning potential.

You will perform maintenance and fault-finding on commercial gas systems, including boilers and heat pumps, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. A permanent position with progression opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical City & Guilds qualification to NVQ Level 2 or Level 3.
• ACS Gas Certifications.
• Unvented Cylinders.
• Experience of Gas Maintenance and PPM in commercial environments.
• Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to undertake).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience being customer and client-facing.

Responsibilities

• Attend commercial projects and call-outs to maintain, fault-find, service and fix gas building services.
• Carry out installation, maintenance, and remedial work on commercial gas systems (boilers, heat pumps, valves, vessels).
• Complete tasks reliably, meeting time demands while complying with health and safety and building regulations.
• Communicate professionally with clients and site managers across locations, including sensitive environments.
• Work on-call when required.

Meridian are working with a well-established M&E contractor in the North-west who predominantly work across Preston, Lancaster, Blackpool, Wigan, and Blackburn areas. With a growing FM team of permanent maintenance engineers, you would be joining a respected and growing company. With a wide variety of work on commercial contracts in the area, there are plenty of additional earning possibilities as well as a strong benefits package.

• Starting salary between £45k - £50k p.a (based on standard working week)
