Job summary

Kemp Eko Talent Ltd is seeking a hands‑on Commercial Gas Engineer to maintain and improve large‑scale heating and industrial plant rooms across multiple sites in the UK. The role includes planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, breakdown response, and on‑site safety compliance.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 in Gas/Plumbing/Mechanical or equivalent, and be willing to work toward commercial gas qualifications. On‑site role with a Monday–Friday 8am–4pm schedule and enhanced overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Gas, Plumbing, or Mechanical discipline.
• Willingness to work towards or hold commercial gas qualifications.
• Experience in plant rooms or similar environments.
• Experience maintaining commercial mechanical systems (heating, pumps, pipework, etc.)
• Understanding of fault finding and repair on plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned maintenance on mechanical plant equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pressurisation units).
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across heating and plant systems.
• Responding to breakdowns and restoring services as quickly as possible.
• Supporting small projects and plant upgrades.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Taking part in an on‑call rota.
