Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer in Banbury to maintain and service commercial heating and HVAC equipment across a portfolio of sites. The role requires fault-finding, repair, and a strong gas background with electrical competence.

You will work on gas-fired equipment, AHUs, and packaged systems, with opportunities to handle three-phase electrical fault-finding and general building services tasks.

Qualifications

• Three-phase electrical experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service commercial heating and HVAC equipment across multiple sites.
• Diagnose faults independently and perform repairs.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and fault finding on gas and electrical plant.
• Work with gas-fired plant, AHUs, packaged systems and mini-splits.

Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Banbury

Salary: £47,000 + Package

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established building services team, working across a range of commercial sites.

This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a strong commercial gas background who is also confident electrically. Alongside commercial heating and gas equipment, you will work across associated HVAC plant, so experience with AHUs, packaged systems and mini-split air conditioning systems would be highly advantageous.

The Role

You will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair of commercial heating and HVAC equipment across a portfolio of commercial sites.

• Commercial boilers and heating systems
• Gas-fired plant
• Pumps and associated controls
• AHUs, including gas-fired heating sections
• Packaged HVAC systems
• Mini-split and split air conditioning systems
• General mechanical building services equipment

You will be expected to diagnose faults independently, carry out repairs and servicing, and provide a high standard of service to customers.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer
• Current commercial gas qualifications/tickets
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience
• Three-phase electrical experience
• Experience working safely on electrical and mechanical plant
• Full UK driving licence

Relevant commercial gas qualifications may include:

• COCN1
• CIGA1
• CORT1
• ICPN1
• TPCP1 / TPCP1A
• CDGA1
• CCP1

Equivalent/current commercial gas qualifications will also be considered.

Desirable Experience

• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Packaged HVAC systems
• Mini-splits / split air conditioning
• HVAC controls
• Heat pumps
• LPHW systems
• Pumps and inverters
• General commercial HVAC maintenance

An F-Gas qualification would be advantageous but is not essential provided you have relevant HVAC exposure.
