Job summary

moveatech Limited is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to service and maintain commercial gas systems across Edinburgh, Clackmannanshire and the Scottish Borders. You will work across multiple sites, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and supporting installations.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, current Gas Safe Registration, and proven commercial gas experience. A permanent, secure position with a structured career path is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and repairing commercial and industrial boilers and gas appliances.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and repair commercial gas and heating systems.
• Service and inspect commercial gas appliances.
• Perform combustion analysis and flue gas integrity testing.
• Maintain boilers, pumps, ventilation systems and related plant.
• Identify and replace life-expired assets.
• Undertake minor plumbing and mechanical works where required.
• Support installations, upgrades, commissioning and project works.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments and statutory compliance checks.

Commercial Gas Engineer

Edinburgh, Clackmannanshire & Scottish Borders

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to support a varied facilities estate across Edinburgh, Clackmannanshire and the Scottish Borders.

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will take ownership of the maintenance, servicing and repair of commercial heating and gas systems across a varied estate. You will work independently across multiple sites while being supported by a collaborative facilities team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities
• Diagnosing faults and repairing commercial gas and heating systems
• Servicing and inspecting commercial gas appliances
• Performing combustion analysis and flue gas integrity testing
• Maintaining boilers, pumps, ventilation systems and associated plant equipment
• Identifying and replacing life-expired assets
• Undertaking minor plumbing and mechanical works where required
• Supporting installations, upgrades, commissioning and project works
• Conducting inspections, risk assessments and statutory compliance checks

This role will involve travelling between sites and may occasionally require working at height and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
