Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited seeks an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to cover the Central Belt/Glasgow area. You’ll perform PPM, reactive maintenance and minor install works across diverse commercial properties while ensuring high standards and compliance.

The role requires Gas Safe registration, F-Gas, 18th Edition, and full UK driving licence. You’ll work on boilers/heating systems, on-call rotation, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial gas maintenance in facilities management or similar.
• Proven ability to service boilers and heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Solid understanding of H&S procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.

Commercial Gas Engineer - Central Belt - Salary up to £48,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established facilities management and building services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and minor installation works.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring building services are maintained to the highest standards, delivering a professional service while maintaining compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
• Service, maintain and repair commercial boilers, heating systems and associated plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete minor installation and replacement works as required.
• Undertake basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance duties where required.
• Carry out inspections and ensure all work complies with current legislation and industry standards.
• Complete all required documentation accurately using electronic or paper-based systems.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and colleagues to provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in an on-call rota where required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and Health & Safety regulations.

About You:

• Previous experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within facilities management, building services or a similar environment.
• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• A full UK driving licence.
• F-Gas certification.
• 18th Edition.
• Electrical knowledge or additional building services experience.
• Experience working within schools, healthcare, retail or commercial buildings.
