Job summary

Office Owls Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer for a full-time position in Bristol. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs and installations across commercial gas, heating and hot water systems.

Responsibilities include fault-finding, emergency callouts and operating within a 1-in-4 on-call rota, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. A driving licence and UK work rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Current ACS qualifications and Gas Safe registration required.
• Commercial gas servicing, maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Full, current UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

JOB PURPOSE

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their expanding team in Bristol.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs and installations across a range of commercial gas, heating and hot water systems, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, service and maintain commercial gas appliances, central heating plant and plant room equipment.
• Attend reactive, diagnostic and emergency repair calls.
• Carry out fault-finding, repairs and maintenance on commercial heating and hot water systems.
• Install commercial gas appliances, central heating plant and associated plant room equipment.
• Participate in a 1-in-4 emergency callout rota.
• Provide an effective response to emergency and out-of-hours breakdowns.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Current ACS qualifications.
• Commercial Gas Safe registration.
• Relevant Commercial Gas qualifications.
• Experience within commercial mechanical services, heating and hot water systems.
• Strong experience in commercial gas servicing, maintenance and fault-finding.
• Domestic Gas, Industrial Gas, Gas Catering or LPG qualifications would be advantageous, depending on the role and work undertaken.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be able to successfully complete a DBS check, subject to the requirements of the role and client sites.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Our client is offering a salary of £43,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
