Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an on-site team at a prestigious commercial building in Croydon. You will perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive tasks across the building, ensuring reliability of plant and systems.

The role offers a stable daytime shift, a competitive salary up to £45,000 plus package, and clear career progression within a forward-thinking FM provider.

Qualifications

• Mechanical qualification — City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent (Essential)
• Copies of relevant trade certificates may be requested
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multiskilled with a flexible, can-do approach
• Strong communication skills for client and colleague liaison

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain mechanical plant equipment across the building
• Service pumps, motors, seals and bearings
• Maintain AHUs and FCUs incl. filters, cleaning and upkeep
• Carry out water treatment checks (temperature monitoring)
• Perform basic plumbing and minor repairs around the building
• Watch and respond to BMS alarms and readings
• Carry out basic electrical duties such as lamp replacements
• Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors on site
• Maintain general fabric and carry out minor repairs
