Job description

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to support a fast-moving consumer-led business in Bournemouth in their search for a Commercial Finance Manager on an initial 3-4 month interim basis.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Review daily, weekly, and monthly trading results, analyze figures, and highlight risks and opportunities to ensure appropriate actions are taken, including reviewing key trading initiatives.
2. Prepare commercial analysis for the month-end board pack slides, ensuring that all trading explanations accurately reflect the key messages of the month.
3. Collaborate with the head of commercial finance and the commercial team on budgeting and forecasting to translate commercial plans into robust financial plans used to manage and monitor performance.
4. Develop pricing models and insights, supporting commercial decisions around price actions, with follow-up reporting and review of subsequent results.
5. Proactively review tasks to identify and implement process improvements that streamline and simplify reporting requirements.

Key Skills/Experience include:

1. Qualified Accountant
2. Business partnering experience
3. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
4. Experience working effectively in high-quality blue-chip environments, with the ability to operate strategically and hands-on in day-to-day activities.
