About the Role

e.surv Chartered Surveyors is recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager to partner with our Business Development Director and Consumer Director. The role involves analyzing market trends related to revenue, customers, clients, and profitability of our Consumer business. If you excel in stakeholder relationships, collaboration, and delivering high-quality work, we want to hear from you.

This is a home-based role with regular travel to our Head Office in Kettering on an ad hoc basis.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting

• Design and lead revenue performance reporting, KPIs, and insights, including discussions on implications and next steps.
• Manage the Commercial Finance analysts in creating and commenting on revenue reports and KPIs.
• Support business reporting needs such as QBR, Monthly FDs call, and performance reviews with executive leadership.

Business Partnering

• Act as a finance partner to sales and marketing leadership, supporting issue identification and performance optimization.
• Provide commercial support for tenders with dynamic pricing and revenue modeling.

Strategic Optimization

• Maintain external market perspectives and model trends affecting revenue.
• Deliver scenario planning and revenue/profit modeling for strategic and business case development.
• Assist in identifying and delivering new business initiatives aligned with strategic goals.

Planning Cycle

• Develop and articulate a robust revenue plan aligned with business strategy.
• Create and manage the annual budget and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Present plans and forecasts visually with clear narratives and assumptions.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with FP&A or Commercial Finance experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with strategic insight and influencing skills.
• Proven experience in creating and presenting robust financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ability to portray business performance with engaging visuals and narratives.
• Experience in financial modeling and scenario planning.
