Responsibilities

• Lead finance business partner for High-Performance Powertrains, Customer Teams and on-site Technical Services functions.

Commercial Finance – Finance Business Partner

Non-F1 Team

Brackley, United Kingdom

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the non-F1 team. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic business partnering with financial leadership, providing insight, challenge and guidance to support decision-making and improve profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

• Act as the lead finance business partner for High-Performance Powertrains, Customer Teams and on-site Technical Services functions.
• Build strong relationships with departmental leaders and become a trusted advisor on strategic and operational decision-making.
• Provide financial challenge, commercial insight and robust business cases to support investment decisions.
• Influence decision-making through clear analysis of financial and commercial performance.
• Support the evaluation of new customer opportunities, commercial proposals and strategic initiatives through robust financial modelling and analysis
• Review project pricing to optimise profit margins

Financial Planning & Reporting

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across partner functions.
• Monitor and report on performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
• Responsible for the preparation of regular reporting in line with the needs of the business
• Ensure strong financial governance, controls and compliance across supported areas.
• Partner with Financial Accounting team to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.

Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop a direct report(s), providing clear direction, constructive feedback and opportunities for professional growth.
• Coach and develop junior finance team members where appropriate.

Transformation / Technology

• Collaborate with the finance transformation team to develop processes and system improvements that enhance functionality, accuracy, and data integrity across finance tasks
• Identify areas which would benefit from the use of automation technology to eliminate repetitive and/or non-efficient tasks
• Support the development of methodologies to automate reporting and integrate into systems both current and new in line with departmental priorities

About You

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Excellent Excel & IT skills - SAP experience preferable
• Proven ability to influence senior non-finance stakeholders
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insight
• High competence and computational accuracy

• Experience within engineering, automotive, technology, manufacturing or performance-focused environments.
