Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is seeking a hands-on Project Lead to drive how we deliver physical marketing and experiential activations across the season. You will manage assets, freight, and timelines while coordinating with design, production, events and partnerships to ensure timely, high-quality outputs.

You’ll champion process improvements, governance and clear reporting, working closely with internal teams to keep multiple active projects aligned with budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project delivery across physical marketing and branded environments, from planning through to execution.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise competing workstreams and manage cross-project dependencies.
• Manage the financial aspects of owned projects and assets, including forecasting, budget management, supplier negotiations, reporting and driving cost efficiencies.
• Work closely with internal production, design, AV and logistics teams to coordinate builds, asset preparation and on-site delivery.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers to ensure accuracy, quality and on-time delivery across all touchpoints.
• Lead asset movement, freight planning and trackside setup where required.
• Keep project plans, timelines, risks and budgets on track, with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Support the development of briefs, schedules and project documentation across all partners.
• Help shape and improve internal processes, reporting and cross-functional ways of working.

Job description

The Role

You'll play a key role in delivering the team's growing portfolio of physical marketing activity and assets, spanning design and production, experiential marketing, event activations, asset creation, freight coordination and cross-functional campaign delivery.

Working closely with the Projects Team and stakeholders across design, production, events and partnerships, you'll help create, build and deliver special projects and event assets that support the team throughout the Formula One season.

This isn't a desk-only role. You'll be hands-on with physical delivery, managing inventory, timelines, suppliers and freight to keep projects moving and ensure assets arrive where they need to be, often in fast-paced and ever-changing environments.

As the team continues to scale, you'll also help evolve the tools and processes that support our work, ensuring they're as effective as the projects and experiences we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience leading complex projects.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills.
• Expertise in project management methodologies and governance.
• Experience managing agencies, suppliers and contract negotiations.
• Experience driving operational change and process improvement.
• A strong background in physical production, event operations and delivery
• Experience working within a marketing or event agency, delivering experiential activations and events.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to remain calm, clear-headed and collaborative under pressure.
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have extensive experience and a proven track record in an event operations role within the sports and entertainment industry. Experience in event production, design and delivery is highly desirable.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant case studies, qualifications and business-related skills upon request.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication skills and be confident making decisions under pressure.

You will have exceptional organisational, presentation and time-management skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.

Flexibility in working hours and approach is essential, along with the ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a positive, can-do attitude.
