Job summary

Confidential is seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. You’ll explore costs, profitability and opportunities to improve performance while moving beyond basic month-end reporting.

You’ll work with senior stakeholders across operations, procurement and supply chain, developing business partnering skills in a hands-on role with ERP systems and budgeting support.

Qualifications

• This opportunity seeks a driven finance professional with part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in a finance role, ideally in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Confident in communicating with stakeholders across departments.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse operational costs across the business.
• Collaborate with operational teams to understand spending and improve accuracy.
• Maintain and update ERP financial data.
• Assist with profitability and margin reporting.
• Support inventory and stock reconciliations.
• Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Produce financial analysis and reporting for managers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc projects.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across finance and operations.
