Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity with a successful and growing manufacturing business seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. You will move beyond month-end reporting and collaborate with operations, procurement and supply chain to improve financial performance and inform commercial decisions.

You will support cost analysis, profitability and margins, maintain ERP data, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in a finance role, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, production or a similar commercial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• The confidence to communicate with stakeholders across different departments.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the review and analysis of operational costs across the business.
• Working closely with operational teams to understand spending and improve financial accuracy.
• Maintaining and updating financial information within the ERP system.
• Assisting with profitability and margin reporting.
• Supporting inventory and stock reconciliations.
• Helping identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Producing financial analysis and reporting for managers across the business.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc project work.

A successful and growing manufacturing business is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. You'll gain exposure to senior stakeholders across operations, procurement and supply chain while developing valuable business partnering skills in a hands-on finance role.
Your new role
Working as part of a supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in understanding business costs, analysing profitability and helping identify opportunities to improve performance.
Responsibilities will include:
