Job summary

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with Development Manager experience to support its development programme, refurbishment and new-build care home projects. Based at the Bromley head office with site-based work as required, you will lead tendering, cost planning, contract administration and post-contract commercial management, safeguarding client interests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Development Manager or Commercial Development Manager.
• Strong background in cost management and commercial delivery.
• Experience running main contractor tender processes.
• Client-side EA/QS experience post-contract, with good knowledge of building contracts (e.g. JCT).

Responsibilities

• Act as Employer's Agent / client-side QS during construction.
• Administer contracts: valuations, variations, loss and expense assessments.
• Lead tendering, cost planning, and procurement handling.
• Manage pre-construction: feasibility, design, cost plans, cashflows and viability models.
• Monitor budget, programme and quality against the contract requirements.
