AWE in Reading is looking for a Commercial Data Analytics Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of commercial data. You will drive accuracy, availability and actionable insights to support commercial decisions on third party spend.

The role reports to the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager, with hybrid working. The package ranges £47,760 to £60k, plus a 9-day fortnight and generous pension.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage large datasets and BI tools.
• Analytical thinker with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Commercial teams have access to timely, accurate and relevant data.
• Manage master data across systems for accuracy and consistency.
• Oversee data lifecycle and ensure seamless data flow between systems.
• Maintain data protocols, cleansing and preparation for business use.
• Coordinate between Commercial, IT, Finance and other teams to align data strategy.
• Lead the Commercial Data Team and provide direction.

Commercial Data Analytics Manager

Package: £47,760 to £60k (depending on experience)

Location: Reading, with free onsite parking.

Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day. This role is eligible for hybrid working, meaning employees typically spend three days on site in a long week and two days on site in a short week. We support flexible working where possible, including part-time and varied working hours, so please let us know if you would like us to consider an alternative working arrangement when you apply.

The Commercial Data Analytics Manager leads the strategic and operational management of commercial data across AWE. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, availability and actionable use of data to drive effective commercial decision-making within the Commercial team on all matters relating to third party spend incurred by AWE.

This role will report into the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensures Commercial teams have access to timely, accurate and relevant data to meet performance and strategic objectives.
• Accountable for master data management of all commercial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity across systems used by the Commercial function.
• Accountable for managing the data lifecycle, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
• Accountable for data protocols, data cleansing and data maintenance to ensure usable data is made available to Commercial colleagues.
• Accountable for liaison between Commercial, IT, Finance and other relevant teams in AWE to align data strategy with business requirements.
• Accountable for the management of the Commercial Data Team.

• Compliance withrelevantlegislation and regulations.
• Must haveproven professional experience.
• Experience of working in a Procurement / Commercial function
• Experience in data operations and/or commercial analytics
• Proven experience in managing large datasets, data transformation and business intelligence tools.
• A natural analytical thinker.
• Proficient in SQL, Excel and visualisation platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical insights into business language.
• Detail oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
