Job summary

Versant Media is seeking a curious and commercially minded Data Analyst to join our Finance & Analytics team. You will help the business understand performance across Sales, Marketing and Finance by producing reliable reporting, analysing trends and supporting planning.

This is an early-career role with exposure to senior stakeholders. You will develop skills in SQL, Tableau, Excel and forecasting while collaborating with Sales, Marketing and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in data, reporting, finance or business analysis.
• Strong Excel skills with formulas and pivot tables.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Comfort with numbers and ability to spot trends or inconsistencies.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem-solving.
• Good communication and the ability to explain findings clearly.
• Organised, proactive and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and maintenance of Sales, Marketing and company performance KPIs.
• Produce regular reporting on revenue, sales activity, marketing performance, customer behaviour and other commercial measures.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting in Tableau.
• Use SQL Server and Excel to extract, analyse and validate data from multiple systems.
• Support analysis of performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Help identify key trends, opportunities and risks, presenting findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to assess campaign, pipeline, conversion and ROI performance.
• Use AI tools responsibly to improve analysis, automate repeatable tasks and identify more efficient ways of working.
• Work with Salesforce and other systems to improve reporting quality and consistency.
• Help maintain accurate KPI definitions, reporting documentation and data checks.
• Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests and contribute to wider Finance & Analytics projects.
