Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking talented commercial leaders for Associate Director and Project Director level roles within our South East Commercial Advisory team. You will shape commercial models, procurement strategies and governance for major national capital programmes across water, defence, energy and transport sectors.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive business development and ensure value-driven outcomes for clients, while aligning with policy requirements

Qualifications

• A deep understanding of infrastructure, defence and/or energy and natural resources markets, and associated commercial requirements.
• Direct knowledge of the commercial lifecycle and how this supports clients.
• Proven ability to understand, operate and thrive within large-scale, complex environments.
• Extensive experience of delivering projects within commercial / transformational environments.
• Deep knowledge and experience using and delivering within construction industry context, models, and initiatives (e.g. Construction Playbook, Project 13).

Responsibilities

• Developing outcomes-driven commercial solutions for clients delivering major national capital projects and programmes across water, defence, energy, and transport sectors, aligned with the programme’s delivery model and objectives.
• Leading the development and implementation of commercial models, contracting approaches, delivery partner strategies and incentivisation mechanisms for major programmes.
• Driving client and contractor teams to establish effective programme governance, delivery structures, controls, and assurance throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Translating a client’s vision into effective and realistic commercial solutions, including incentivisation.
• Deploying and optimising commercial management strategies, processes, tools, and systems and tailoring standard methodologies to client needs.
