Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to manage a portfolio of commercial clients. You will work with Account Executives and insurers to ensure quotations, policies and renewals are handled efficiently from quotation through to renewal.

The role requires knowledge of commercial insurance products, strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships while adhering to FCA requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial insurance broking or account handling environment.
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Handle new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy documentation.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate terms with insurers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers.
• Support Account Executives with client requirements and renewals.
• Ensure policies are accurately documented and processed.
• Provide a high level of service throughout the client lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure FCA compliance.

With continued investment and growth, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join an established team and play an important role in supporting its client portfolio.

The Role

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will support the management of a portfolio of commercial clients, working closely with Account Executives and insurers to ensure policies are handled efficiently from quotation through to renewal.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day administration for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
• Handling new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy documentation
• Obtaining quotations and negotiating terms with insurers
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers
• Supporting Account Executives with client requirements and renewals
• Ensuring policies are accurately documented and processed
• Providing a high level of service throughout the client lifecycle
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and FCA requirements

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience within a commercial insurance broking or account handling environment.

You will ideally have:

• Experience as a Commercial Account Handler, Broking Technician or similar
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and processes
• Strong communication and relationship-building skillsExcellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• The confidence to liaise with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage your own workload
