Job summary

IPS Group Limited in Leeds is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to take genuine ownership of a portfolio of SME and mid-market clients with renewals, growth opportunities and ongoing support from an established broking team.

You'll build relationships, discuss insurance solutions with business owners, handle renewals and work toward larger accounts over time, with a book worth around £100k income and a salary between £40,000 and £55,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Commercial insurance broking experience required.
• Strong client interaction and relationship-building skills.
• Good sales instincts with ability to spot opportunities.
• Desire to become more client facing and progress to larger accounts over time.
• Ambitious and keen to handle larger accounts as experience grows.
• Comfortable discussing insurance solutions with business owners and decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewals and maintain relationships with a portfolio of SME and mid-market clients.
• Identify growth opportunities and drive client development.
• Be a recognised face to clients while working with an established broking team.
• Handle a book with substantial income (approx. £100k) and contribute to retention and growth.

Are you a commercial insurance professional who enjoys building relationships with clients but hasn't quite had the opportunity to fully step into an Account Executive position?

This could be an excellent opportunity for a strong Account Handler, Development Executive or Desk-Based Executive to move into a role where you'll have genuine client ownership whilst still benefiting from the support and infrastructure of an established broking team.

You'll inherit a portfolio of predominantly SME and mid-market clients, with premium spends often around the £10,000+ mark, whilst also gaining exposure to larger and more complex risks as your confidence and experience develop. You'll be trusted to manage renewals, strengthen client relationships, identify growth opportunities and become a recognised face to your clients. There will be a book to look after to the tune of around £100k income.

This role would suit someone who:
