Job Description

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and college budgets.
• Coordinate all audit activity.
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with other departments within the college to support overall college goals and objectives.
• Monitor progress and changes, keeping senior leadership informed of the college's financial status.
• Assist college leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process.
• Support the leadership in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Interim College Accountant position should have:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience working as a College Accountant, Bursar, Head of Finance, or Finance Director.
• Experience working in non-profit or Education/College environments.
• Living close enough to commute to Oxford.
